Situation of human rights in Myanmar: Report of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights
Summary The present report is submitted pursuant to Human Rights Council resolution 55/20, in which the Council requested the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to, among other things, monitor and assess the overall situation of human rights in Myanmar and to report on pathways to fulfil the aspirations of the people of Myanmar for human rights protection, accountability, democracy and a civilian government. The report, which is based on extensive consultations, presents the main pathways towards achieving this vision and the key constituencies that are working for change on the ground.
