On International Women’s Day, the Heads of United Nations agencies in Myanmar stand together in recognition of the strength, leadership and courage of women and girls across the country.We see their resilience. We hear their voices. And we recognise their leadership. But resilience alone should never be the price women pay to keep communities going. Women’s rights are universal and must be always protected, including in times of crisis.As a UN Country Team, we reaffirm our commitment to stand with the women and girls of this country and to support their rights, their safety and their meaningful participation in the decisions that affect their lives.
