UNHCR and UNDP sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Government of the Union of Myanmar to support the creation of conditions for the return of refugees from Bangladesh

UNHCR and UNDP have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Government of the Union of Myanmar to support the creation of conditions for the return of refugees from Bangladesh.

Today, UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, and UNDP, the UN Development Programme, signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Nay Pyi Taw.

This MoU is a first and necessary step to establish a framework for cooperation between the UN and the Government aimed at creating conducive conditions for the voluntary, safe, dignified and sustainable repatriation of refugees from Bangladesh and for helping to create improved and resilient livelihoods for all communities living in Rakhine State.

ဘဂၤလားေဒရွ္႔မွ ဒုကၡသည္မ်ား ျပန္လည္လာေရာက္ႏိုင္မည္႔အေျခအေနမ်ား ျဖစ္ေပၚလာႏုိင္ေရးအတြက္ ပံ႔ပိုးကူညီမႈ မ်ားေဆာင္ရြက္ေပးႏိုင္ရန္ ျပည္ေထာင္စုျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံေတာ္အစိုးရ၊ ကုလသမဂၢဒုကၡသည္မ်ား ဆိုင္ရာ မဟာမင္းႀကီးရံုး (UNHCR) ႏွင့္ ကုလသမဂၢဖြ႕ံၿဖိဳးမႈအစီအစဥ္ (UNDP)တို႔ နားလည္မႈစာခၽြန္လႊာ ေရးထိုးခဲ႔ပါသည္။

ကုလသမဂၢဒုကၡသည္မ်ားဆိုင္ရာေအဂ်င္စီတခုျဖစ္ေသာ UNHCR ႏွင့္ ကုလသမဂၢဖြ႕ံၿဖိဳးမႈ အစီအစဥ္ UNDP တို႔သည္ ျပည္ေထာင္စုသမၼတျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံေတာ္အစိုးရႏွင့္ သံုးပြင့္ဆိုင္နားလည္မႈစာခၽြန္လႊာတစ္ခုကို ယေန႔ ေနျပည္ေတာ္တြင္ လက္မွတ္ေရးထိုးခဲ႔ၾကပါသည္။

ဤနားလည္မႈစာခၽြန္လႊာသည္ ဘဂၤလားေဒရွ္႔မွ ဒုကၡသည္မ်ား ၎တို႔၏ဆႏၵ သေဘာထားႏွင့္အညီ၊ အႏၲရာယ္ကင္းစြာ၊ သိကၡာရွိရွိ၊ စဥ္ဆက္မျပတ္ ျပန္လာႏိုင္မည့္အေျခအေနေကာင္းမ်ား ျဖစ္ေပၚလာေရးႏွင့္ ရခိုင္ျပည္နယ္အတြင္းရွိ လူမႈအသိုက္အ၀န္းမ်ားအားလံုး အတြက္ ပိုမိုေကာင္မြန္ျပီးခံႏိုင္ရည္အားေကာင္းေသာ အသက္ေမြး၀မ္းေၾကာင္းမႈမ်ား ဖန္တီးေရးတို႔ကို ရည္ရြယ္သည္႔ ကုလသမဂၢႏွင့္ အစိုးရတို႔၏ ပူးေပါင္းေဆာင္ရြက္မႈအတြက္ မူေဘာင္တစ္ခု ခ်မွတ္ရန္ လိုအပ္ေသာ ကနဦးေျခလွမ္းတစ္ရပ္ ျဖစ္သည္။
